RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Each event will be decided over 18 holes
  • There will be NO playoffs

 

MALE AND FEMALE EVENTS

  • Male and female professionals will play for combined prize money in individual OOM stroke play events
  • Male and female professionals will play for combined prize money in individual pro-am events
  • Male and female professionals will compete for the combined 2020protour Order of Merit title and incentives
  • Elite amateurs may enter ALL professional events with a max handicap of 3.4
  • Amateurs with a playing handicap of 3.5 and above will be eligible to enter The Amateur League events – formerly the #TourExperience
  • Max playing handicap on the day 28
  • All WHS counting events for both amateur categories
  • Elite Amateurs can now play for a maximum first prize of £700 (prize funds in relation to field size and course fees)
  • The Amateur League - breakdown of prizes for players with a 3.4 handicap and above will be in relation to field size (stableford prizes) 
  • Elite Amateurs with a handicap of 3.4 or less can be drawn to play with professionals, amateurs with 3.5 handicap and above (The Amateur League) will be in groups based around handicap ability and will play behind the professional event

 

ORDER OF MERIT

  • Professional OOM to be decided by points system (Members only)
  • Elite Amateur OOM to be decided by points system (Members only)
  • The Amateur League OOM to be decided by points system (no membership required)
  • Elite Amateurs will be placed within the Professional OOM, with the highest placed Amateur taking the Amateur OOM Title and incentives
  • The Amateur League Amateurs will play for a separate Order of Merit title and incentives

PRACTICE ROUNDS

  • To be arranged by the player at their own cost, please contact the club office/professional (Check Tour information on portal)

 

MEMBERSHIP / ENTRIES

  • Pro Membership in 2025 – £150.00
  • Elite Am Membership in 2025 – £100.00

 

ENTRY FEE

  • PRO AM – between £200.00/£250.00 per team of two players
  • Standard pro event / member – £200.00
  • Standard pro event / non member – £230.00
  • Elite Am events – £100.00
  • Elite Am events – £130.00 non member
  • The Amateur League events – £55.00 – no membership required 

 

WITHDRAWELS

  • Withdrawals within 7 days of the tournament/or after the draw is published will be subject to an admin fee (£25.00)
  • Withdrawals within 48 hours will be loss of FULL entry fee
  • No show on the day, loss of FULL entry fee and subject to £25.00 fine
  • For any player who does not turn up or who misses their tee time, their entry fee will be forfeited and remain in the prize fund
  • Membership fees and OOM stand when six 2020protour events hosted (non refundable membership)

 

PROFESSIONAL PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN

  • approx 20% of the field paid out
  • approx 25% of the prize fund to 1st place
  • This can change depending on course fee/sponsors request or added prize funds

 

WHAT IS TAKEN FROM THE PRIZE FUND (max 15% per event - regular events)

  • Course Fee per player (varies week to week)
  • Stripe Credit Card fee – £2 per player 
  • Tour expenses and running costs (travel/admin/social media/website/marketing)
  • Pro/Ams not included

 

BONUS INCENTIVES – PRO/ELITE AM ORDER OF MERIT

  • Members only for Summer and Headline OOM
  • Winter Pro/Ams do not count for the main OOM (there is a separate Winter OOM)

 

RULES

  • Shorts are permitted
  • To play by the R&A rules of Golf; for any on course queries – play two balls
  • Measuring devices without slope permitted

SUSPENSION OF PLAY

  • When play is suspended, a player must mark their ball and play will not be resumed until an official has deemed it safe
  • Practice is not allowed during a suspension
  • SUSPENSION – One prolonged klaxon horn
  • RESUMPTION – Two short klaxon horns

 

PLAYERS’ ATTIRE

  • Please abide by and respect the rules at each golf club the 2020protour visits

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • If a player or caddie is seen to be displaying inappropriate behaviour on or off the course, then the Tour has the right to suspend the player from the 2020protour
  • By entering a 2020protour tournament you allow the right to be filmed/live streamed or used for imagery (all content accessible for players' own use)

 

CONDOR TOUR

  • The Turkey Pro/Am along side the Condor Tour will count for the 2020protour OOM

 

HOTEL PLANNER TOUR / IRISH CHALLENGE 2026 

  • WINNER of the Headline Events OOM (6 counting events)
  • This opportunity will only be available to a member of the 2020protour
  • If that player is already exempt to the IRISH Challenge in 2026 the start it will not go down the OOM
